Rigger, Welder, Fabricator, QC Inspector & Supervisor Jobs
MGC has announced an urgent manpower requirement for a Jubail shutdown project covering seven categories: Rigger-I, Incoloy Welder, Carbon Steel Welder, Fabricator, QC Inspector, Welding FM, and Supervisor/FM. The requirement is dated 7 October 2026, with all listed positions subject to a test-based rate determination. A total of 37 vacancies are available across the different trades. Shutdown projects require coordinated deployment of skilled manpower within a defined maintenance window, making competent rigging, welding, fabrication, quality inspection, and supervisory personnel essential to completing planned work safely and efficiently. The combination of specialized welding and supporting site trades indicates a work environment where technical coordination, controlled execution, and adherence to project procedures are particularly important.
Key Work Responsibilities
Rigger-I personnel will support lifting and material-handling operations by preparing loads, selecting appropriate rigging arrangements, checking lifting accessories, and guiding crane or lifting-equipment movements according to approved procedures. Incoloy and Carbon Steel Welders will perform welding activities in accordance with applicable procedures, drawings, specifications, and project requirements, with Incoloy work requiring particular attention to material-specific welding controls. Fabricators will measure, cut, fit, align, and assemble components according to drawings and fabrication requirements. QC Inspectors will monitor workmanship, conduct inspections, verify documentation, and coordinate quality requirements with construction teams. Welding FM personnel and Supervisors/FM will coordinate manpower, work fronts, productivity, safety requirements, and daily execution while maintaining communication between site teams and management.
Technical Competence & Documentation
Candidates should have practical experience relevant to their respective trade and be capable of working within a shutdown-project environment where work activities are closely scheduled. Welders should possess the appropriate technical ability for their specified material, while Fabricators should be competent in dimensional measurement, fitting, alignment, and fabrication methods. Riggers require awareness of load handling and safe lifting practices, and QC Inspectors should understand inspection procedures, quality documentation, and applicable project requirements. Supervisory candidates should have the ability to coordinate teams and monitor work progress. The vacancy requires valid Iqama, updated CV, Muqeem, SABIC Medical, passport, and valid CR copy. A Chamber Agreement is mandatory for all listed trades, and the original passport must be submitted.
Jubail Shutdown Environment
The project is located in Jubail and is specifically described as a shutdown project. Shutdown work generally involves concentrated maintenance, repair, inspection, modification, and associated construction activities within an operating industrial facility, requiring careful coordination between multiple work groups. Food and accommodation are provided by the company according to the vacancy notice. Salary terms are stated as two months and twenty days, while the rate for every listed position will be determined after testing.
