Saudi Arabia Jobs

Safety Officer & Permit Receiver

ZJC is recruiting experienced safety and permit-control professionals for a long-term industrial assignment at the Maaden Turaif project. The requirement covers 30 Safety Officers and 30 Permit Receivers, making this a large-scale mobilization for candidates with relevant Saudi industrial experience and the required professional credentials. The Safety Officer position is offered at SAR 30, while the Permit Receiver position carries a rate of SAR 32. Both categories require candidates who can operate effectively within structured site safety systems and comply with established work-control procedures. The assignment is supported by Food, Accommodation and Transportation (FAT), providing essential site-related facilities during the project period.

Safety and Permit Control Responsibilities

Safety Officers will be responsible for supporting safe execution of site activities by monitoring compliance with established HSE procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and ensuring that workers follow approved safety practices. The role requires practical awareness of industrial hazards and the ability to communicate safety requirements clearly across active work areas. Permit Receivers will focus on the controlled implementation of work permits, confirming that required precautions and conditions are in place before work begins. They may coordinate with relevant site personnel to ensure that permit requirements remain understood and properly followed throughout the work activity. Both positions require disciplined documentation, communication and coordination within a project environment where safety and operational controls are essential.

Required Experience and Professional Credentials

Applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience and possess a NEBOSH IGC qualification. Aramco approval is preferred for these positions and may provide an advantage during candidate evaluation. A valid Iqama or Muqeem with at least three months of remaining validity is required. Candidates must also be prepared to provide their passport, medical fitness documentation and CR as part of the recruitment and verification process. Because the positions involve safety and permit responsibilities in an industrial project, applicants should ensure that their submitted documents accurately reflect their experience, qualifications and current Saudi status. Candidates should also be prepared for any project-specific verification or approval requirements communicated during recruitment.

Industrial Project Environment

The Maaden Turaif assignment forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider industrial and mining development environment, where disciplined safety management and controlled work execution are important to maintaining project schedules and protecting personnel. Large industrial projects require coordinated movement of manpower, equipment and materials, with multiple work activities often taking place simultaneously. Safety Officers therefore contribute to maintaining site-wide HSE standards, while Permit Receivers support the formal work-control process that allows potentially hazardous activities to proceed under defined conditions. Long-term project requirements also place importance on reliable attendance, documentation and consistent compliance with site procedures.
